AKC Breeds
Mixed Breeds

If you have a love of your pet or have friends and family that do, this is the place to get the right gift for yourself, your family members or friends.

Check out the perfect gift selections  to pick from. Our selections include Dogs, Cats and Ferrets ornaments. All ornaments are handmade and hand painted to standard breed colors and markings or can  be Custom Painted to photos of your "Best Friend".

Every pet ornament is made from an original hand sculpture in clay by artist, Judy Peters.  From her original, silicone molds are created to pour exact duplicates from the sculpture. After the ornament is poured, each is hand painted and finished by Judy giving the individual pet ornament its own "personality".

Since almost every breed of dog, cat or a ferret has  multiple variations of color, and with dogs and cats, different  body styles, we  have created as many in our catalog as possible. We hope that you are able to find your beloved pet on our site, but if you don't, check out our custom painting page. Tongue Out

Our dog ornaments have over 100 breeds in standard ornaments with  many of the breeds duplicated in the Stocking style. We try to create most breeds with multipe colors and markings for your selection in the catalog . We hope that you are able to find your dog on our site, but if you don't, check out our custom painting page on how to order a painted ornament from your photographs.

Our Cat ornaments are painted on many different body styles with long hair and short hair cats available. As with the dogs,  we  have created as many different cat body types in our catalog as possible. We hope that you are able to find your beloved cat on our site, but if you don't, check out our custom painting page

Our Ferret ornaments are painted on two different body styles, a side view and a long body hanging style. We also have a Christmas Stocking version available. As with the dogs and cats,  we  have created as many different colors on all three Ferret ornament types as possible in our catalog  We hope that you are able to find your Ferret on our site, but if you don't, check out our custom painting page

Judy's Jewelry is created from original clay sculptures of each breed and is then  molded and cast in Sterling Silver(.925) or Copper. The jewelry pieces are lightly antiqued to enhance the detail and highlights the features. Gold casting in either 10K or 14K is available but due to cost, only by special order. Special orders require additional time and we can advise the timing on request.

We have select dog breeds and Cat body styles along with two body styles for Ferrets.

Visit our Jewelry catalog section to see the various jewelry pieces available.

Since most pets do not have the coloring or markings of the Standard breed, Judy will custom paint to your pet's photo(s) so that your ornaments will have the right markings, color shades  or eye color.

Judy has times when she gets bored with just ornaments and now that the jewelry is underway looks for other things that bring out her creativity.
The one-of-a-kind items are a result or her boredom and desire to create something different. Each of these items are original items and are created around a popular breed.

The whimsical animal pins were created after Judy had a desire to start doing some jewelry.( These were before the pendants). Take a tour of these items and it's easy to see how Judy's artistic abilities go many different directions but always around pets.

From time to time , Judy may decide to change the design on any of her different items or to just improve the design as she may think that a better sculpture of the animal can be made. When this happens, the old items are retired . We haven't been doing anything with them up to now, but have decided what better way to get rid of them than a Yard Sale. And the catalog pages are just like a Yard Sale..in no apparent order. We hope you don't mind browsing through a mixture of all her retired items and if you see something you like, click on it and buy it.  Hope you have fun looking and shopping.

AKC Most Popular Dogs in 2013

On Wednesday, January 30, 2014, the American Kennel Club has revealed their list of the 10 most popular dog breeds of 2013,  with the Labrador Retriever taking the top spot for the 23rd year in a row. It is the longest run of popularity for any dog breed since the AKC's founding in 1884.

The top 10 breeds of 2013 are as follows: Labrador Retrievers, German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Beagles, Bulldogs, Yorkshire Terriers, Boxers, Poodles, Rottweilers and Dachshunds.

The Labrador Retrievers is known to be a highly trainable breed with an agreeable personality. They have been used as guide dogs for the blind, trained in narcotics detection and included in search-and-rescue teams.

"It does so many different things really well - it excels as a family companion, it's an awesome hunting dog, and it also has a great presence as a service and law-enforcement search-and-rescue dog," said American Kennel Club spokeswoman Lisa Peterson.

The other nine most popular breeds on the list reflect the variety of purebred dogs recognized by the American Kennel Club. With no exact numbers released, the estimate of its purebred registry is more than 40 million

With the list largely remaining the same as the previous year, the biggest news comes from a breed not in the top 10. The French Bulldog is at its highest ranking to date as the 11th most popular breed in the United States.

The French Bulldog has skyrocketed in popularity, with its American Kennel Club numbers more than quadrupling within the last 10 years. The breed was listed as 58th in 2002, making the climb to 14th last year and now sitting at 11th place
